Humanitarian Heroes honored at sold out gala benefitting Yezidis facing genocide

On Tuesday, August 29 at 7:00 pm, Salem Daoud, Yezidi Mir (head Yezidi religious leader for the U.S. and Canada) will address a sold-out crowd at Peninsula Sinai Congregation in Foster City, CA regarding the plight of his people and hope for the future.

Following Mr. Daoud’s remarks, the Beyond Genocide Campaign will present Humanitarian Hero Awards to the following religious leaders for their role in the Beyond Genocide Campaign and related efforts:

The Gala is sold out and we have reserved a small number of places for the media. If you wish to cover the Gala for your media outlet, email with your name, the name of the press organization, and a mobile phone number where you can receive and return a text to verify your identity.

MEDIA INTERVIEWS: Yezidi leaders will be available for interview in San Bruno on Tuesday, August 29 from 2:00 to 3:30 pm and on Wednesday August 30 from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm. We will do our best to accommodate requests for television recordings in studio in San Francisco on Wednesday.

The Gala program is packed, so there will be NO INTERVIEWS DURING THE GALA.
